About Us

This project came to be due to much drinking and BS’ing about what we’ve done and what we would like to do in regards to wrestling with nature. We’re hobbyist, not extremist and we thought, “wouldn’t it be great if I could access a single resource that had a bunch of trip reports for all things outdoors??” “Uh, yeah, let me get another beer and think about that.” And that is when we decided to build this project.

We, by the way, are Chris and Dave, a couple of comrades that work in the same tech industry, hang out talking philosophy over pints, and daydream about the next outdoor adventure. Dave is a hiker, a biker (the motor kind), and a, “hey, I’ll try anything once,” kind of guy that loves the outdoors. I’m about the same except for motor bikes and have recently fallen in love with rock climbing. We promote conservation and work to be as green and lean as we can.

We are really optimistic that this project can grow into a valuable tool for us and for everybody who becomes a part of the community. We want to meet new people around the world, read about the exciting and not so exciting trips, and plan the next big adventure!

We want to thank our wives who have been understanding while we’ve been pounding away on keyboards and our friends and family who have contributed the first trip reports. If you like what we are doing, the greatest compliment is to refer a friend.
